Architecture and Engineering

We own the architecture, engineering and testing framework, as well as the principles for enterprise technology solutions.

Cyber Security

Due to the uprising of modern technology, this creates potential threats that need to be managed - this is where the Cyber Security team come in. On a daily basis, we carry out tasks which maintain the integrity and security of the Post Office. We are responsible for the protection of the network, infrastructure and other critical IT information. We also work with people across the business to educate and advise them and build a culture that puts cyber security first.

 

Technology Product

We play a key role in the business, as we’re accountable for all technology products, platforms and devices across the whole Post Office business, including branches. We are responsible for supporting and maintaining multiple platforms including Back Office, ServiceNow and Robotics platforms, Device Management & Security, Software & Licencing Management, etc.

Technology Services

We are the custodians of protecting Post Office IT live services through secure designs and robust measurable processes which prevent or restore issues impacting our Postmasters, Colleagues and Customers. Ultimately as a team, we manage the services that ensure every end user across our business has access to the technology they need, when they need it.

Developer

You will help improve our trading and back-end platforms by delivering new applications and services to improve performance for both postmasters and customers. This means you will be part of the development of fully functional applications and microservices. So, you will be supporting the Agile delivery process and will play a key role in maintaining code quality, organisation and automation.

Service Desk Agent

You will be the first point of contact for anyone in the business looking for technical support on software, hardware and network-related issues. You will help them to troubleshoot solutions either on the phone, email, chat or in person. And each time, you will give them a high-quality service that resolves their issues quickly and effectively.

Service Manager

You will oversee the ongoing support of all devices and assets, including stock management, performance monitoring, continuous service improvement and BAU patching. You will also play a significant role in risk and change management and will manage our relationship with key suppliers.

Cyber Security Analyst

Our Cyber Security Maturity Programme is re-imagining how we provide cyber protection across the Post Office, and you will be at the heart of this. Taking a holistic approach, you will be involved in policy creation, deployment, monitoring, and incident response. At the same time, you will also be implementing and managing solutions to protect sensitive data across the business.
