In People Services, we provide services and solutions across the full employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition and employee relations, to payroll. Our aim is to ensure we provide a trusted service to our customers.
As people partners to individual business functions across Post Office, we play an important role in driving management effectiveness and people leadership to achieve delivery goals.
In this team, we enable a diverse workforce by promoting the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) agenda and deliver a high-performance culture through talent management.
In this team we look after the colleague reward strategy, including recognition and wellbeing. So, we cover a wide range of benefits, from healthcare, life cover, and income protection, to our cycle to work scheme, season ticket loans, long service awards, and many more. At the same time, we aim to create a great place to work, by developing a range of offers that support colleagues’ mental, physical, social and financial wellbeing.
We lead on engagement for Post Office colleagues, including planning the annual engagement and pulse surveys. We ensure voices are heard and use the insights to inform our strategic people plan, as well as the business and team engagement plans.
You will be advising on individual employee relations cases. This includes coaching managers to ensure the fair and consistent application of procedures and policies in line with employment law and best practice. You will also provide expert advice covering areas such as disciplinary, grievances, dignity at work complaints, sickness absence and underperformance.
As a member of the people shared services team, you will provide first line people support to colleagues. Delivering excellent customer service, you will answer their queries, process new and changes to employment contracts, or deal with expenses, structural changes, annual changes to benefits and onboarding.
Acting as a trusted advisor, you will coach, counsel, and advise on day-to-day operations and change initiatives to support business success. Covering the core colleague lifecycle, you will drive our culture and increase colleague engagement across the business. This will include supporting the delivery of key change projects, as well as proactively listening to colleagues, managers and leaders and bringing insights into centres of excellence.
Delivering effective end-to-end recruitment strategies, you will ensure both candidates and hiring managers enjoy a positive hiring and onboarding experience. You will also apply your expertise in talent attraction and selection, reporting, analytics, policy and process to a range of business projects and programmes.
When you join us, you will discover plenty of scope for personal development and career progression, with formal training, mentoring, secondments, and a learning catalogue of over 400 online courses.
